Walk with me as I contemplate faith. I do accept that Faith is a spiritual gift that you built into me from day one. I do. Yet, doubt is always right there, turning down the volume, keeping me from immersing fully in the rapture of complete and blissful “knowing.”
Perhaps I should have asked you to walk with me as I contemplate doubt. Is doubt a gift as well? Could it be that faith itself is not possible without doubts to overcome? Let me recognize my doubt as a necessary ingredient to my recipe for a full-bodied spiritual life—much like yeast in bread. Let doubt bring my faith to its full rise.
