Dear Grief,
Oh, you are sneaky. I did not invite you,
but here you are casting shadows, creeping your way into my heart.
Sweet, happy memories of holidays past,
now tinged at times with a bit of sadness.
The legacy of my loved ones is kept alive in stories, recipes, and treasured keepsakes.
I miss them so much and cherish the time we had together.
